Marc D. Shapiro, MD, is a brilliant neuroradiologist currently serving as the medical director and reading radiologist for a successful private office, Neuro Imaging Winter Park in Winter Park, Florida. Featuring extensive knowledge in all aspects of his field, Dr. Shapiro holds particular expertise in musculoskeletal MRI drawing on his orthopaedic training at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Fellow radiologists spend three months of their fellowship program training under the tutelage of Dr. Shapiro. He is a Volunteer Associate Professor with the University. Also affiliated with University of Miami Hospital, he is the former chief of neuro MRI and ENT radiology at Yale University School of Medicine, author of 3T Spine Imaging published in 2006 by MRI Clinics of North America. Voted among America’s Top Radiologists since 2002, he was an invited lecturer on 3T MRI of the brain and spine at ISMRM in Berlin, Germany, in 2007.
